Buildings of Interest / Listed

The village of Enderby has many different examples of architecture ranging from St. John The Baptist Church, the original parts of which were constructed in the 13th Century, to modern housing of the 20th Century.

The centre of the village as it is now was mainly constructed in the 19th Century, with earlier examples of architecture, having been built on the northern slope of the granite knoll which forms the higher part of the village, around the Church and Manor House. The modern housing of the 20th Century mainly occupies the area to the South of the village.

The following photographs are examples of the more interesting architectural buildings within the village:

The following is an example of a 'Yard', several of these existed in the older parts of the village and had such names as Murby's Yard, Tunson's Yard, Poynor's Yard and Evatt's Yard, but to name a few.
