The following information regards the loss of the Halifax V aircraft, (Serial No: DG244, Code: MA:Y) of Royal Air Force Bomber Command, 161 Squadron based at R.A.F Tempsford, Bedfordshire, England, on which Pilot Officer T. W. Challoner DFC, was a member of the crew.

Further details:
It is believed that Pilot Officer Challoner was reported missing (As were the rest of the crew) on a mission, 60 miles Southwest of Oslo, Norway and that he had been an Air Gunner with the crew.
All of the above airmen are commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial - Surrey, UK.
